has anyone used vit.n150 for .303 british? I now they recommend n140 but I've a bucket of 150

Have only ever used N150 in the 303 with pretty good success, 41.5g under SMK's

Assuming you are looking at the normal 173'ish grain bullets then you could give it a try, but one comment, Vit themselves only list N140 & 540 in their tables, which is probably for a good reason?

But here is a basic run on QL FYI:

Cartridge : .303 British
Bullet : .311, 174, Sierra HPBT MatchK 2315
Useable Case Capaci: 49.522 grain H2O = 3.215 cm³
Cartridge O.A.L. L6: 3.075 inch = 78.11 mm
Barrel Length : 27.0 inch = 685.8 mm
Powder : Vihtavuori N150 *C

Predicted data by increasing and decreasing the given charge,
incremented in steps of 2.0% of nominal charge.
CAUTION: Figures exceed maximum and minimum recommended loads !
