spotting scopes

any advice on spotting scopes will be welcome best opitions price range £350 no more ,

i,ve heard about konus but dont anything on how good they are for the money. cheers

I would look for a s/h one such as the Swarovski as you will get much better value for money that way. I bought a straight pull swaro for around that figure that had hardly been used. I have a tasco 20-60 which is perfectly ok up to a couple of hundred yds but not much use beyond that.

I have a Minox MD50 it is useful out to 600mtrs (one can spot 6.5mm holes on paper at that distance through it anyway)

 

Lens clarity is good.

 

Waterproof and with a 30 power zoom, and a small carry bag too.

 

Light and compact enough for carrying whilst walking too if the mood suits.

 

Cost was less than £200 if I recall.

 

 

Had I more available I would have bought a Swarowski or Zeiss, but that would be beyond the budget brief.
