6mmBR
I have found N550 very good in my .22-250 Ackley improved. I use 43gns with a 52gn Berger which drives it at 4030 fps. What may interest you is my fireforming load with the same bullet which uses 40 gns N550 and drives that at around 3850 fps. Cheers Dave
PeteL
Foxer, I have been mostly using WW 760 in my RWS Titan. I have a box of 52gn AMax but not got around to trying them yet so this doesn't really answer your question, but FWIW, my recipe is: Sako brass 40 gn WW 760 Winchester LR Primers Hornady V Max 55 gn 24" match barrel Average Velocity 3540 fps ES 13, Sd 6. Shoots everything touching at 100 metres. Usual Disclaimer and precautions. Peter

Spiderman
Hi Foxer Have several loads for 22-250 all using Norma brass and Federal gm210m primers 32.5 grains of Ramshot TAC and a Fowler 52 grain hp bullet 34.1 grains of RL 15 and a 50 grain Sierra Blitzking 34.0 grains of IMR 4064 and 50 grain Blitzking All the above loads will shoot 1/4 moa or better in my rifle ( Tikka 590 with border barrel ) also had good results with 50 and 55 grain Vmax's , other good powders to try are H4895 or VV 135 . I've tried 52 A Max's and never managed to get the results , talked to a few people and they said the same , exept 1 reliable shooter who said they go very well in his 223 with 1 in 9 twist which they arn't supposed to work well in ??
