Deerless Posted July 15, 2017 Report Share Posted July 15, 2017 Hi, got a slot on my ticket for the 280Ai, but finding brass a nightmare to source, 280 or 280Ai. I know that Nosler do it, but reading many reports that primer pockets are shot after 2 to 4 firings using relatively mild to medium loads. Do any of you have experience with loading Nosler brass in this calibre. I know Remington/Winchester do brass, but not sold on the quality. Chris-NZ Posted July 16, 2017 Report Share Posted July 16, 2017 The brass is not as hard as Lapua but equally, it's not butter soft. Mine drives 150 LRABs at 3130 with no pressure signs and the pockets aren't loosening up noticeably. The problem with some .280 Ackley loaders is that they try to make the chambering perform at 7RM levels and it murders the brass. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
