I stumbled on the 87 v max loaded with N160 5 years ago and it shot bug holes. I stuck with it and never budged from it. I now need to re-work up a load for the new barrel and was wondering what powders would you recommend for the 87gr V max Also wanting a load for a 105 A max in 243AI. Anyone got any info ??. skany Posted September 18, 2008 Report Share Posted September 18, 2008 Hi mate i use vit 150 in my AI mate altho i tend to use the lighter bullets 65 75 & 87s all shoot realy well with it! 65's & 75,s 45.3g & the 87's 43.5 (safe in my rifle ect et:-P) 87s are the least acurate at around 1/4"-3/8"(altho this was whilst fireforming) my twist is 1-12 so wont shoot anything heavyer cheers Andy Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Cheers Ads Hi Ads , Now i was running the 105 A-max in a RPA Quadlite in 243 ackley , heres my load data ( as always work your loads up carefully ) ............. Lapua brass - fully prepped but no neck turn Federal 210 match primers 105 A - max - seated 10 thou into lands 47 grains of Viht N165 powder -- This load gave me great accuracy ( bug holes ) and a average velocity of 3150 fps............ It was a awesome load for longrange vermin.............. Heres a 400yd shot with the 105 A-max.................................. You can substitute the Viht with Reloader 22 which still gave me the same results....................... All the best........................ RAY.......................................
