Triumph045
All, New to reloading. On occasion I get a small dent in the shoulder of the case when de priming and resizing, it's not a consistent problem only the odd case now and then. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? Should I bin these cases? Many thanks Triumph045
Davy
It sounds like too much case lube on the case is cartridge case is causing pressure dents. Strip and clean the die and use less lube. You can safely shoot the cartridge if the dent is small as it will reform to the correct profile when fired.
MrCetrizine
Also, if you tumble your cases to clean them, make sure you've got all the media out of the cases. I've seen it cling to the decapping pin from one case then stick to the shoulder of the next and get crushed.
