I know you say as new but that means different things to different people. Can give a bit more detail? Is it marked from the rings? What reticle is it? Is the glass marked etc.

Mil dot ret. Not aware of any marks on body or glass hence "as new" However I will check to save embarrassment! Y're not far away it seems same county anyway, come have a look if y're interested? I'm in Southampton. Bought to go on FAC 22 air. 20 shots to zero never used since!

Glass perfect (Butler creeks from new) However 2 minuscule paint scratches from those pesky Leopold rings which are more than 1/2 circle and so have to be pushed over tube!. OH well

FWIW in future try two small Allen keys (or similar) placed into the screw holes either side of the ring with the long shank pointing up either side. Squeeze the keys together and this will prize the rings open slightly and allow you to get the ring over the scope without scratching. When you release the keys, the ring will spring back to it's original shape...et voila, one ring installed and no scratch
