Akeld
I had a Defender as limited agricultural use, free tax, no mot needed and insured with NFU. The downside was, it was only allowed to travel 1.5km on public roads between fields/farms which suited my purpose. If you search DVLA for the different tax classes you should get a better answer. NB: Some classes of atv/utv although road legal, are only legal during daylight hours unless you have a road pack fitted (indicators etc)
andybrock
My Polaris Ranger is road legal, all you need to do is get a road legal kit side lights, indicators hazards etc. There are firms that will do all the paper work for you, they are tax exempt, no mot just needs to be insured all pretty much like a tractor really.
