MrCetrizine
As title. I had loads of these and they shoot exceptionally well but now I'm running low, I can't see them in stock anywhere. Are they gone? What's the alternative from Berger (I know Sierra do 77gn but the Berger's outperform them in my rifle).
bradders
No they haven't discontinued it, but it's not a VLD. It's a OTM, but if you want an alternative then there's the Sierra, the Sierra TMK, and other 77s from Lapua and Nosler
MrCetrizine
So has it just been renamed or is it a different bullet? The 5000 I bought a few years ago are marked as VLDs on the boxes.
bradders
If you're talking about the mag length one then it's a LTB, not a VLD http://buybergerbullets.3dcartstores.com/22-Cal-77-Gr-OTM-Tactical_p_33.html
MrCetrizine
The BC is different from the ones I've run out of. Damn, I guess I'm going to have to try something else.
bradders
They probably just retested and got a different figure, and would no doubt come up with another one next time they test. There's plenty of good bullets out there
MrCetrizine
I found them... sort of. Turns out I was wrong and they weren't VLD although the cardboard box they were packed in said that on the side which is why I thought they were. If I'd actually looked at the yellow plastic boxes, it says what they are which is Target BT. They have now, as Mark pointed out been rebranded as tactical OTM with a tactical price increase to match. I found the guy I got them from at the British shooting show and he still had 7500 left so I've bought them. £6 less per 100 than the rebranded ones.
