HI Guys

What would you guys think would be the optimal bullet weight to use in a Sako 1-10" .243AI?

Also any good starting loads and powder?

Info very much appreciated.

Guest northernchris

I load for a few of .243 Ack Imp sticks, two of them i use in 45.8 gr of N160 (warm load running 3333fps out of a 24" tube) under a 90gr nosler Ballistic tip would run well out of your 1-10".We did try 95gr Nosler BT but they wouldnt shoot worth a that which promotes growth and vigour even driving them real hard.

243 ackley with 1 in 10 twist!!!

Try the 87 V-max - has a BC of 0.400 and should be a awesome longrange varmint round!!!!!

I had a 243 ackley with a 1 in 9 twist and it shot these well..............

All the best......................................

RAY.......................................... :D:blink:
