247sniper
Hi guys, Somthing I have never done but wondered should I be? I have a wildcat Predator 8 on my custom 204 and have never cleaned it. It's had 600 rounds through it in total bit this last 2 days it's had a good run out shooting over 200 rounds collecting data out to 600 yards and having a general play. This moderator is stripabble. My other models is a ASE Utra CQB that is not stripabble etc. It it work putting them in the ultrasonic cleaner or is it a waist of time. As with all my gear I really look after it but was wondering if the I'd any maintance I should be doing on the mods? What do you do guys if anything? 247sniper
Squirt of gun cleaner spray. What like the cleaner/oil up the baffles and let it dry out yeh?
Shuggy
Just so. At the moment I use a big can of Browning Legia spray, but I have also used Napier gun cleaner.
phaedra1106uk
I strip and ultrasonically clean both my predators about every 6 months, one is mainly used for subsonic cast so gets a bit of lead build up on the first baffle. Other than that a quick spray through with Birchwood Casey Gun Scrubber and a visual check through the "bore" after each use (and unscrewing the joints so they don't seize!) is all I do.
