Davy
I have a lovely little Webley & Scott 410 bolt action that has been messed around with at some point, the receiver is held into the stock with a screw which screws into a collar which holds the trigger spring in place, this in turn it screwed onto a stud that is attached to the receiver under the chamber and here lies the problem. The stud has been silver soldered in place and is crooked, does anyone know how the stud should be attached to the receiver, is it screwed in or welded in place? The gun shoots perfectly well albeit with a slightly lighter than usual trigger however I would like to return it to as close to original as possible, I could chop the crooked stud off and dress it back however I would prefer to know before starting work on it.
