PaulC Posted November 15, 2015 Report Share Posted November 15, 2015 I need to re barrel my .308 and was thinking of going 7mm08 I use the rifle for mc queens and some longer range stuff, any ideas on barrel life and barrel length? and what the minimum length might be if I wanted to shoot at 1000 yds. PaulC Posted November 15, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 15, 2015 Hi It's a custom Surgeon s/a currently with a 30 inch pac nor 1 in 12 but my groups are staring to open to about 1 moa, I have I have a .260 so 1000 yd capability isn't the be all, I need a decent round count and something slighly more compact.
