Blaserman Posted October 19, 2015 Author Report Share Posted October 19, 2015 Gongs have been shot from 100yds to 500yds, with calibres from .243 to 300 Win Mag, the only fatality has been the paint, barely a mark on the plates. I hung them on what I thought were strong hooks suspended from a fence, seeing them hit, especially the 4" one, I was amazed at the energy transition to them, they destroyed the hooks I used completely. I now have to chain them completely around the fence. My advice would be to probably purchase the optional target stand that is sold separately, you can then clang away as much as you like, and they are so much better than shooting normal unreactive targets.
