dylan5588
Hi all, Do any of you use Dermestid beetles for cleaning skulls? I have just started a colony but they don't seem to be eating the flesh very much. any tips on environment, habitat etc would be appreciated. dylan5588
good evening ,don't know if it helps but I have always used maggots probably wrong time of year for them though. I found the trouble with using maggots is, 1 the smell, 2 they tend to discolour the bone with the smelly sludge. The Dermestid beetle is supposed to be a much cleaner way of doing it.
