6.5Grendel
Sent my licence last monday with 2 variations and a note that I'd disposed of one. Phoned today to make sure they had it and if there were any forseeable problems. "All processed and in the post yesterday , no problems" Less than 2 week turnaround which is great service . Not unusual for surrey either.

MrCetrizine
My last one for one was eight weeks. I wish it were like shotguns and I could buy and sell on a whim.
bradders
My force, The Met, phoned me yesterday to remind me that my RFD renewal is 8 weeks away and to send my forms in asap, which I thought was excellent. They also called me last week to say that our club FAC was being printed and would be with me this week. Definitely a good service as far as I'm concerned

6.5Grendel
With the emphasis on saving money it would be cheaper and easier than processing variations. Possibly a cap on number and max caliber at 1st issue dependant on type of shooting and land availabilities/suitability. Swap and change as much as you like within this. Variation only needed if you want to increase cal. Or number held? Although realistically it should be the person that is licenced not the firearms. dannywayoflife
Yeo it should be the person is either fit to own firearms or there not. I would only cap what a person could safely store.
