sean223
Am in the middle of changing my scope for something tactical ffp moa/moa. I've never had a scope that dials before so unsure of a few things. I've been doing a lot of reading as 1 moa =1"at 100 yards and 1moa=2" at 200 yards or as close. I've got that bit but my question is, if I see in the reticle that my shot hit 2 moa left and 2moa down do I dial 2 moa right and 2 up?? And does it matter what distance your at or is it always 1moa nomater what the distance is?? Thanks for any help.

gbal
exMM9870's video should help.If possible, try to shoot a bit somewhere where you can see bullet/splash/strike-on a target if close, better yet at distance.Theory is much easier when you see it in practice (and for your load/rifle,which will be close, rather than exact fit for ballistic predictions.) If you can't spot splash, you have no 'spotter/sighter',then you have to walk out and look at paper holes, which are more precise than splash estimates. No splash/no paper= no spotter/no sighter.....come back another day! gbal
