hawke sapphire 8x43ed binos?

Hiya folks, used to be on here a few years ago under the name mole trapper, anyway, I got I'll, got better and now back but different name.

My question is are these binos half decent? I had a pair of swaros 8x42 el which I moved on when I got diagnosed, I realise these are not going to be anywhere near, but they are £1400 less but the reviews are excellent.

Indeed they are every bit as good as all the reviews say they are!

 

Supply had/has been a problem though, the first batch didn't pass muster and I believe were sent back to the factory.

A quick look round the shop this morning shows we sold out of 8x42's before Christmas.

 

They have a 42mm objective lens rather than 43mm!

Appreciated, thank you! Funny, some places advertised them as 43 and others 42?, anyway, I bit the bullet and bought a pair in the sales, £314 thought that was not bad, next closest price was £349
