varminter
Well my daughters brother ( who is 12 years old ) has been pestering me to take him shooting , so last evening i took out my latest purhase a Anchutz model 64 target in 22 LR - this was bought with a simmons 3-9-40 scope and a moderator for £150 , so after a good clean and re-conditioning of the barrel , i have tested it and seems to be quite a sweet shooter We ended up with 16 bunnies / 4 was shot with 6ppc between 202 and 292yds / a pigeon with the 6ppc and ended the evening with a fox shot with the 6ppc ..... heres an early evening picture.............................. And heres some footage of pigeon..................... The boy really enjoyed himself and was quite happy to pick up the bunnies and carry them - so hopefully a future shooter All the best............... RAY....................... Vermincinerator
Ray, looks like you both had a real good time, most youny ums dont know what they are missing. However i am intrigued by the term you used "my daughters brother" surely he would then be your son??? or did you mean to put brother-in-law? Ian. varminter
Thanks guys Yes it was good to see the boy enjoy himself and give him a idea of the enjoyment of being in the countryside!!! Ian hows you matey?? Now to answer your question - I mentioned the lad as " daughters brother" because i have only one child and she is the youngest!! She has 3 brothers aged 10 / 12 and 15 all from her mums first marrage!! I have never been married by the way!!! So there you are , still single , still shooting and still got money for this great hobby we enjoy :) All the best............. RAY.......................
