Kahles K1050: Any Experience in BR, Long Range or F-Class

Didn't spot any of these scopes on the line at the F-Class Europeans. Being an established and reputable European manufacture and part of the Swarovski Group, service and repair turnaround times should be attractive.

Mag range fits well and the ergonomics look and feel good. Don't know about the helicopter rotor on top though. Slightly heavier than NF, March and co. and the reticle choice is currently limited to two versions, albeit they would appear to be suitable for Long Range work. Competitive price, at least over here.

Any users out there to comment on the optics and tracking repeatability?

The 10-50 mag has been in the prototype process for approx.the last 12 months with one of the lads shooting field target. The scopes he's had have been pretty much faultless, range finding and clicks wise always tracking exactly and returning to zero.

The parrallax works via a worm drive and they have had a few different pitch of thread in there to get the focus very in and out(hope that makes sense).

The glass is good.

Cheers JR.

I managed to fiddle around with two of them last weekend and was suitably impressed with the optics and ergonomics. Of course it had to happen when trying to adjust the parallax....ended up changing the elevation :-)). Beginners....

The parallax dial was smooth and not overly tight, even without the "Big Wheel". Some of the guys have now bought one and no complaints have been heard to date, even from one who managed to test it at Long Range.

Hopefully Kahles will introoduce some more reticles next year. The double dor works well, but they are quite close to one another.

Manfred from STL rifles in Germany tested the first prototype made and his wife used it at the comps since. They are convinced it is the best target scope available at this time. Manfred built up the production line of the Leica Magnus range of scopes and knows a few things about scopes. I only know the scope from the IWA and from talking to one Kahles engineer. If I'd start F Class it would be with the K1050.

Thanks Edi. Manfred was also at the range last weekend but it was another guy who used one out to 1000m starting at 400m. The tracking repeatability was perfect, he said.
