Tikka
I've taken the last three weeks trying to work up a load for my new 6.5 x 47, based on 123gn Lapua Scenars. The rifle shoots them 'OK', with groupings varying between 1/2" and 3/4", but nowhere near as good as I'd like....more work to be done. I needed a hunting round also, and a pal (Cheers Chris!) brought me some 120gn Nosler ballistic tips to try. Being short of time this weekend, I loaded up some 120gn Noslers using the same load data that I had for the 123gn Scenars, that being 41gns RL15, CCI BR4 primer, just touching the lands. To my great surprise, they produced the following group, 3 shots at 100 yds.... She then produced two more groups the same...so I guess that's my hunting load sorted!!! 6mmBR
Glad to see you getting it together I struggled to get sparkling performance with mine with 123 scenars I changed to 120 Bergers and it was a different story. Cheers Dave
