ejg223
Would anybody know what the protrusion of a ruger firing pin should be? My friends 6.5x55 had recently punctured a few primers on factory lapua rounds. Didn't puncture his homeloads. I cleaned the caked up firing pin polished the surface and measure 1.68mm or 0.066". Is that too much? cheers edi
Guest varmartin
Looking through the net 0.066 seems slightly excessive. I would have thought 0.055 to 0.060 would be closer to the desired length.

Thanks Martin, just shortened it to a tad over 0.055 and the fella collected it already. edi
