Si-Snipe
I have a full S type die set in 223AI. I'm wondering if I could get away with the NS bushing die and comp seater for 20 practical?
gunner
Hi si , is it the neck type S or FL type S ? actually i think they / it should work ! The overalls the same, you should just need bushings . Happy days BUT i may be wrong . The other thing is the .224 decaping rod assembly will need either changing or turning down (like i did to .200 thou ) then again your 17rem rod might fit but itd prob be a pain changing these over every time ! Atb tim.
gunner
Just pondering , will the cases have runout problems? As there not being fully supported by the die ? Hmm id try a few , do you need to borrow a 233&228 bushing ?
Si-Snipe
Neck type S. I don't use expander ball so will check whether the mandrel requires turning. The seater should work too I presume.

gunner
Yes seater should work , the only thing is the seater plug , some iv heard need drilling / machining out a little so the ballistic tips dont get slightly crushed ...
Si-Snipe
Runout may also occur with seater. Going to have a close look tomorrow.
