midas41
Anyone running a short 18" ish 204 barrel ?? and what velocities are you getting? I was thinking of going down the 204 upper for the AR15 but would like the shortest barrel that's still practical for foxing.
Tony.H
If you do decide on an AR platform, would you concider a 20 practical, my friend has one hes never shot, hes an rfd in Nottingham, Bob wightman, and before i had my 20tac built offered me the 20 practical, but i dont fancy shooting an AR where i hunt, id have armed responce on me in a flash...... my 20 tactical is 22" barrel getting 3900fps with 32gr vmax and 3600fps with 40gr vmax, ive heard you loose about 35fps per inch lost on barrel length.... Scotch_egg
I would certainly consider the .20 Practical. Use cheap .223 brass so you won't mind loosing it in the grass. I have a 18" .20Tac sadly I haven't shot it since chopping it down.
