Out last night (ignore the time date settings) ratting when owl decided on a free take away, from the moment the ir was on, was the owl aware of the light ?, it"s a shortened

vid, but the owl was constantly looking at me, range about 10 yds.

When you're at the far end, IR is definitely visible. For example, I believe that someone has been poaching the red deer near here with a red lamp. I can stand and watch them all night with the thermal imager or the NV, and they won't move. If I switch the IR on, however, they'll be off in the distance before you can count to three. Funny that the so-called 'experts' say that they can't see red light! Your owl was so close that 1) it'd see the red light and 2) it'd know you were there anyway as that is what nature has built it to do!
