1971silversurfer
A Stock bolt had came loose on my Howa after a heavy session, does anyone know the correct torque setting for this gun? i've set it to 50 inch llb for now using a Wheeler FAT. FYI I have original floorplate and a Bell and Carlson Medalist stock.
mikeroz
In the book "The Ultimate Rifle Accuracy" by Glenn Newick he says 40 inch lbs front screw and 25 inch lbs rear screw. That's 4.52 Nm and 2.825 Nm in metric.

mikeroz
It's a pleasure. I have a switch barrel custom and have to whip my stock off regularly. The torque settings are in permanent marker pen on my barrel vice. Mike
20series
Not sure about fullbore but on Anschutz small-bore rifles the recommended Torque was 4Nm for Wooden stock and 6Nm for Ally stocks. Alan
