Guest valleyboy1
My mate has just phoned me to say that he has problems inserting the bolt on his Tikka T3 Lite (22/250) after cleaning the gun. He said that the bolt slides almost all the way in but the 'plastic bit' at the back (I think he means the cocked button) is not lining up with the slot. Any ideas? Jager SA
Turn the rear of the bolt back to its proper position?
millpool
the "black plastic" end cap of the bolt should twist round into the correct position
Guest rogern
put the bolt just into the grove in the action, grab the back (the shroud) and turn it, cant remember which way, it will be f***ing hard so use a damp teatowel.
Ronin
err strip the bolt and put it back together properly. I sounds like the cam has turned and the bolt is in the "fired" position.

It is in the 'fired' position, you do not need to strip it, just do what I said, it has happened to me many times. I didnt dream up my answer
Guest valleyboy1
Thanks everyone for the tips. The bolt had actually been turned when being cleaned and was in the 'firing' position My mate took the gun to his local gun dealer and he put it right in about 30 seconds. Cheers everyone Steve
