I believe Tiff has plans for making a shot similar to the one above. He's just waiting on some swanky new LRF's to be delivered then I think we shall be putting up the steel IPSC target......

Nope. If you watch carefully, you'll see the dirt splash just before the 'hit'

Don't think a ricochet would have enough energy to dent the steel like that, my money is on a hit but tumbling. The follow up shot went high too. At that range the slightest irregularity in bullet surface would cause instability through transonic, could even be caused by marks from the rifling?
