hunter87
I have a steiner scope on the way which has 26mils built in if I have it on a 20moa rail should I have any problems zeroing a 100 or do I even need the 20moa rail with that amout of mils in the scope? Swamp Donkey
26 mils is about 100moa +/- a few, so I think you should be fine plopping it on a 20moa rail and still getting a 100m zero (as you'd be working in meters not yards with a metric scope, I hope) Pete
Deserttech Europe
Hi, first, you will have no issues getting a 100 yard zero with that scope. Whether you need it or not, depends on how far you want to shoot. With that setup you would have approx 60 minutes of elevation available. More than enough for a .308 to run out of steam. If you plan to only ever shoot at 100 yards though I would recommend a flat rail, so that you would be using the optical centre of the scope. hope that helps Ewen
