gbal
Today's good news-hot from usually reliable sources: USA Department of Transport, has just sanctioned new rifle powder containers for shipment. These will be 1/7 lb size (imperial). Industry spokespersons claim this will mean more, indeed seven times more, tubs of powder will be immediately available without any further increase in production, already flat out trying to meet demand. Good news indeed, and these are ,as of today, cleared for shipping internationally. There are even some producers looking into the enhanced marketing possibilities-eg sample packs (sixpacks, rather than the initially obvious 7 to the pound,as six packs are pretty well industry standard from beer to yoghurt, for containerised shipping). So we may see sixpack variety assortments of ,say, Hodgdon,or Reloader in the near future. How cool is that, for load development.Expect a price premium to cover extra costs for packaging etc,but note that each tub holds about enough for 25 loads,so will encourage more economical testing, overall. ( It is not envisaged that mixed supplier sample six packs will be made available, for logistic and commercial reasons,at least initially- and european producers are not covered by USA regulations, except as imports.)
