FAC & SGC expiring before being renewed?

Just had my FAC renewal by D&C, the wrote to me about at the beginning of February advising that ticket was due renewal in early May and to download and complete forms, get letters for permissions, club memberships confirmation and referees sorted. So I sorted all the paperwork and then at the beginning of March received a telephone call from the local FEO. Having organised a visit for mid March he duly turned up, checked the forms and my security, had a cup of tea and shared some tales of other FAC holders and the problems they've had getting all the paperwork sorted. After about an hour I handed him a cheque and he went on his way with the forms saying that they should be able to turn them around by early may. Today the new FAC arrived, job done and still four weeks left on the old one.
