247sniper
No mate your wrong, you would need approx 30 clicks. Steve.
jcampbellsmith
40 inches up at 500yds equates to 8 inches up at 100yds. So 32 (4 clicks per inch x 8 inches) clicks up. I do think you will drop a little bit more than 40 inches at 500yds, but 32 clicks up should get you started. Regards JCS
Foxshooter
Your scope 4 clicks = 1" at 100 YARDS 2" at 200 3" at 300 4" at 400 5" at 500 etc etc so a drop of 40" at 500 yards is 32 clicks (40/ 1.25 not 40x 1,25) Just remember yards and meters are different!! Jagged 77
You're better off learning come ups according to whatever the scope's calibrated to i.e. MOA or MIL. If you do that things get a lot more simple. For example 40" at 500 yards equals 8 MOA. Go and have a play around with JBM ballistics... JBM/jbmtraj-5.1.cgi edit - I tried to copy and paste the table but it wasn't having it...!
