Redfox
95 gr I think you mean, I use 42.5 grs H4350 with CCI benchrest primer and SAAMI length, later modded to .040" off the rifling as it suited my Sako more. Excellent accuracy and many dead deer with it, grps into around .6-.7" about 2970fps in my barrel. Redfox

stag1933
Hi guys. When the mastershot Jacko emigrated I bought his Sako Varminter .243 and inherited some of his test info and some of his loaded ammo. I have broken down one of his cartridges and weighed the bullet, it was 90gr, purple ended and marked 90gr NBT on the holder.[this did contain 46gr of powder] His info states 46gr Vit. N160, BR2 primer, Nos. 90gr in Lapua brass. His notes also refer to 95gr NBT with 45gr of Vit. N160. Have Noslers been made in both weights ? HWH. devilishdave
Yes Nosler make both 90 and 95 grain Balistic tips, I have both at the moment. I normaly load 42 grains of Vit 160 with the 95 grain, they perform well and only drop 2 inches from 100m - 200m so 46 grain with the 90 grain head must be a fairly hot load. I will buy some more vit 160 and work up a load. Dave

gareth
My Tikka T3 loves the following load: 90gn Nosler BT 42.5gn IMR 4831 (midrange Nosler recommended load) Fed 210 match primer Bullet seated 30 thou off the lands This will put 3 shots into 0.6" at 100 yards day in day out in my rifle. Tried the 95gn Combined Technologies bullet but stuck with the 90 as they shot far better.
