Nightforce NXS Scope

Hi there

 

I have recently purchased a secondhand Nightforce NXS 12 x 42 x 56 scope. With an NPR 2 reticle. The turret is an MOA.

 

Could anybody please advise me what the R represents on the magnification ring. I understand the reticle increments for measurement and range finding but should the scope be on R when rangefinding.

 

When I bought the scope it came without instructions.

You're exactly right. The magnification should be set to "R" for the values on the reticle to be true. Nightforce manual as posted above is handy.
