shaun
I'm thinking of neck turning to take off the high spots on my case necks. Will this make a difference to an existing load after the same cases have been neck turned with the same amount of neck tension as before? Or will 1 thou or so less neck wall thickness make no difference to a load that shot really well before the cases were neck turned?
DaveT
If you are really only shaving a tiny amount off the high spots then I would not expect any significant pressure or MV change related to neck tension. If you are concerned and using bushing type dies then a simple recheck of loaded round O/D will enable you to see if the neck tension would be affected with the option to change bushing sizes if needed. If using a standard FLS or NS die then recheck O/D of the loaded round after turning to gauge any change in neck tension.
