triggersqueezer
need advice please i normally try to seat my scope as close to the barrel as possible.today i recieved a uni mount from third eye, sadly the scope bottoms out on the mount if i order the higher one i'll have about 40 mm clearence from the bottom of the scope to the barrel.will this cause problems target shooting? i might have fun close range but is that the only negative? Eagernoskill
Subject to correction by other the primary difference will be in your bullet path relative to the bore I did my own load with different height scope rings to illustrate HEIGHT Elevation MOA at 1000 1" 27.4 2" 26.6 3" 25.7 The higher scope rings lift the relative axis though as you can see the affect even at long distance is significant. You may have to adjust your dope sheets The bigger risk you face going to high is losing the cheek piece connection / support and creating potentially an inconsistent cheel weld. It does NOT change windage - it is purely in the verticals ENS
