maespant
Hello all Quick question (If anyone out there can help!!) I have a Stiller Precision Action (Short Action) in 6mmBR Currently has been fitted to AICS Chassis System, but have recently bought a Bell & Carlson adj cheekpiece Varminting Stock with AICS Bottom Metalwork removed I need to get bottom metalwork (Thinking Third Eye Tactical Short lever) and bolts What thread is cut into Stiller Action and any idea what lengths Don't really want to remove AICS yet as I have not got all bits to replace and took a while to get properly torqued up last time. Thanks in advance
terryh
Morning, If it's a true clone then pretty sure the thread will be 1/4 - 28 aka 1/4 UNF but Baldie or Ronin can confirm. More importantly is to ensure the right grade of bolt, which I would recomend 12.9. When you torque them up it prevents stretching. Ronin
They are 1/4 UNF (1/4 x 28TPi) I buy them long and cut them down to suit, they are both length critical. The front will foul with the lower bolt lug if too long and cause all kinds of accuracy problems if it does. The rear if too long will interrupt bolt cycling. Judicious and careful use of a file is recommended.
NoEntry
Do you have aby plans for the AICS? I may be in the market for one very soon. Mike
