chelly
Will there be a noticeable difference in noise if a 243/308 P8 is used on a 223 rifle rather than a cal specific one. Yes I understand there will be some but is it enough to warrant buying a new insert and if so does anyone know roughly what price they are? Vermincinerator
Chelly i have a P8 in 308 which i use on my 22-250, may mate has the same in dedicated bore size to suit his 223. I have tried his mod on my rifle and there is a noticeable difference, not a lot but you can tell which is which from their sound suppression. Ian. chelly
But are we talking £60 worth of difference?
mickthebrick
I use just leave my 308 insert in my p8 when on my 223. You can tell the difference but not enough to damage your ears and certainly not 60quids worth! I rarely bother putting the 6mm one in these days. And strangely the rear bush fits my cz223 and my tikka270 so i dont need to change that either! Mick
