ADVICE NEEDED ON BARREL

Advice needed

I have a rifle for sale and have lost may lose a sale as the lad said he wanted it for F/Class shooting he said this barrel would not be allowed so may lose the sale

Its a 308 and it has a ,336mm tight chambered neck on it dose this stop it from been used in F/Class shooting,

you can not use an improved .308 for f class ftr end off

 

 

 

apart from that you aint making too much sence mate

usa f class rules and gb rules are very similar:

 

 

F-T/R

 

Caliber limited to .223 or .308 (unmodified).

Sling and/or bipod allowed.

Rifle weight limit of 8.25 kgs (approx. 18.18 lbs)

RULES FOR F/TR<br style="color: fuchsia; font-weight: bold;"><br style="color: fuchsia;">An F/TR Class rifle must not weigh more than 8.25 kg. (about 18lb. 2 oz.) including scope and bi-pod. <br style="color: fuchsia;"><br style="color: fuchsia;">Permitted chamberings are 308 Winchester/7.62 Nato and 223 Remington/5.56mm.(Don't discount

the 223 - Laurie Holland has turned in some remarkable long-range performances with his - see

August 2010 Blair report).

 

The rifle may only be supported by a simple bi-pod and/or sling. A sand-bag may be used under the butt. <br style="color: fuchsia;"><br style="color: fuchsia;">There is no restriction on scope-power.<br style="color: fuchsia;"><br style="color: fuchsia;">Factory or handloaded ammunition may be used and any bullet-weight is permitted.<br style="color: fuchsia;">

I have a 308 rifle for sale it has a Krieger barrel 27 inch ,336mm tight chambered neck will this barrel be allowed in F/Class

If its a normal 308 and the rifle aint to heavy cant see why not

Thanks for your reply the only thing you have to do is to thin the case neck and use a smaller bushing die but the case is not altered in any other way.
