badsworth
Thanks to lots of good advice from members of this forum I now possess a Gen 2+ 'add-on' monocular that I will tonight be trying out for the first time. I also have the headmount for it and would like to be able to use it at closish ranges with my SG. Can anyone tell me if quick bursts with a 'non - IR' laser used as a target designator would damage my tube? There is a wounded fox (wounded by a car I think - not me) hiding in local hedgerows. I would like to track it down and humanely despatch it - but I don't want to damage my NV. Badsworth
Barrelsniffer
If you are refering to red/green dot lasers then no it should be ok..have used them in past but one thing to be careful for is muzzle blast if you are using shotgun with NV ? ive already burnt one tube on one of my NV scopes..wasnt a happy chappy. Mick Mick - that is a really good point - I had not thought of that. I use 50g BBs - there is quite a blast. Thanks for the info.
