Recommended Posts

I had organised for my mate to try for his 1st sika stag , I wasnt going to stalk but at the last minute decided to take my rifle as well.

Lovely ground that is full of sika....................

I came to a nice little valley ( above pic ) and decided to sit and wait , after only 10 mins out popped a stag which I neck shot at 190 paces after stopping him with a shout as he was intent on crossing the valley into the trees on the other side.

Antlers covered in foliage.........

Not a good 8 pointer but an 8 pointer all the same, my mate managed a real nice 8 pointer which is destined for the taxidermist.

A good days stalking in fantastic, beautiful surroundings.

Nice piece of land...and some great pics of your

Sika's as well....We have rolling hills similar to

those on my uncles land.My ground blind is on the

edge of a sandstone shelf that overlooks a quiet

little valley.

Nice Stags ;)

That is some good looking ground :P

I was helping the FC Rangers in the Tweed Valley when i lived in Scotland, some lovely scenery there too ;)

This ground is in the Tweed Valley.

Foxshot , I wish I was in a syndicate on this ground as it is excellent ground. We paid for the stags but I will be helping out on the hind cull.
