  1. Would you consider selling the Wall thickness gauge separately? I already have the concentricity gauge. Kind regards, Bob.
  2. Apologies, you are correct. I have just spoken with the RFD… as I said I haven’t personally even held it. I was told it was a folder and didn’t look at the picture too closely and bought it blind on the telephone. Thank you for pointing it out, it will save any future issues. Kind regards, Bob.
  3. Sorry chaps.308/7.62 Green Fixed stock. Took forever to find a leftie…
  4. For Sale: I bought this as a birthday present for my Dad as we have been looking for a L/H AW for years. I missed out on both Sporting Services limited run of LH rifles. Due to my Dad deciding to move to Spain permanently it sadly had come too late. I bought this from a dealer blind on the phone and have never even handled it in person but I’m told it’s in fantastic condition with an almost new 26” Brl, tactical break and short suppressor. These are like hen’s teeth as I have spent years trying to find one… unfortunately I found one a little too late. I would like to see my money back so I’m asking £4K. The rifle is lodged with the RFD that I bought it from and arrangements can be made to view. Photos to follow. Kind regards, Bob.
  5. AI AT I will check my data book in regards the load that was used. Used it this evening to cull a Sika Hind, fantastic terminal performance, It’s by no means a hot load at 2625fps but the Vertus Eagle will reliably expand and very low impact velocities. Kind regards, Bob.
  6. Dave at Valkyrie Rifles made me a new .308 barrel for my AI… I wanted a short fast twist barrel specifically for shooting non lead projectiles. On the recommendation of the owner of Vertus Precision I opted for a 1/9 twist 18” from chamber to muzzle. Dave managed to locate a Bartlin blank and machined, painted and proofed it in just a few weeks 👍 The workmanship is absolutely top notch as expected by Dave, he was extremely welcoming when I collected the barrel and checked the headspace on my action. Due to work, waterlogged ranges etc it has taken me a few weeks to zero and run a few rounds through it. All I can say is that it is definitely a shooter! The picture 5 Rds at 100 metres and is the FIRST group that I shot with it. 140GN Vertus Eagle. seems to be suitable for this barrel 😃
  7. Powder Trickler sold to above subject to the usual. Kind regards, Bob.

  10. For Sale: 40 x .243 Fox 100GN non lead projectiles. £35 posted. Kind regards, Bob.
  11. Arrived this morning, Perfect mint condition. Thank you 🙏 Kind regards, Bob.
  12. I have just ordered some more projectiles from Virtus and the price has gone down! I received a message from the owner stating that the copper price has gone down so his raw materials cost had reduced and that saving he was passing onto his customers. You don’t EVER get that from the big companies. AND he is truly interested in feedback be it positive or negative so he may improve his product. Try even getting any meaningful response from any big company… Fantastic service, thank you Virtus Precision 👍 Kind regards, Bob.
  13. Finally had a chance to load up some 140GN Eagle.308 projectiles from Virtus Precision. The projectiles arrived well packaged in a resealable plastic box. Load development was very simple and all loads tested were Sub MOA, these projectiles are extremely accurate. Once I settled on a load I made up a batch and decided to sit out in the hope of a Sika or two. I Hind and Calf very kindly obliged at 94 Meters… Bang Flop for both. I purposefully put the shot directly onto the shoulder so I could access any expansion. As you can see from the pictures below expansion is truly fantastic! Energy transfer is spectacular. Some may say that it’s excessive and somehow expect a projectile to kill emphatically yet cause little or no carcass damage??? News Flash! Projectiles/Bullets kill quickly by causing Damage to tissue, organs and rapid blood loss. I personally would rather write off a shoulder for Dog/Ferret food and anchor the beast than spend precious time looking for runners. Around 17 years ago I was involved in one of the first scientific NLA trials culling over 300 beasts with EVERY available NLA at that time, which to be honest wasn’t many. Carcasses were studied in a MRI Scanner at Southampton Uni, Almost every projectile tested terminal performance was poor to say the least. Lots and lots of lengthy tracking for missing beasts. ☹️ To say I have a jaded opinion is an understatement… So you can see my excitement when a NL projectile performs as promised. I have just ordered a heap more of them in various calibre’s. I will post some skin off pictures on Monday after I butcher the carcasses. Apologies for the long post. Kind regards, Bob. 14. Afternoon, Anyone have first hand experience with the above scope? I had an IOR 20 + years ago and to be honest… it was crap! Poor image, didn’t hold Zero and looked like it had been built in a Farm workshop. I know that they have come along way since then, and now even look like European scopes instead of an Eastern block lump from the 1970’s. Reviews seem thin on the ground and those that are out there are nothing more than padded advertising, unfortunately 99% of any reviews for anything are either advertisements or blind fanboy opinions. Any information either good or bad would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Bob.
