good afternoon ,can you tell me why you have stated the barrel on the rpr is a stamped 308,this would be done at the factory or have you replaced the barrel ? also the rpr comes factory supplied with two magazines. would love to buy the semi auto 22lr but it will take my police force at least 12 months to do a variation !

I have stated what is stamped on the rifle, so a buyer will have to have .308 on there ticket (not 7.62). & it is a Factory barrel.

  3. I have to agree with the above posts.
It's some of the clubs that are discouraging new shooters.
I have a range new me and i think it's run by its own club.
Its only 50 Mtr but would be perfect for zeroing and other short range practice, But it is impossible to obtain a membership. you HAVE to be invited by one of the existing members, to even be given an application form.
A couple of years ago when i obtained my FAC i was allowed to attend an evening shoot as a guest, but not guaranteed a shoot,  i would be allowed to shoot once all members had had their play.
My Son (33) who had just finished his NRA probation and had been issued his SCC but had not yet received his FAC was refused point blank to even handle a firearm. But he was allowed to watch.
we have never been back nor will i ever try again with this lot of "Old Boys"
So i can see that if you are not dedicated into this, that it would be easy to give up.
Luckily the NRA are very welcoming to new members, Because without the NRA i for one would have struggled to find my way into this sport.

  4. Just my opionion.

i found the fixing screws in the tier ones a bit flimsy & easily damaged, by the not great quality driver bits supplied.

Also just recently had the use of a brand new set of Burris XTR rings and although i found the issue and resolved it.

When all the correct shims where fitted inthe correct places (to give 20 Moa Elevation), something just didnt do up correctly first time and no matter how much wind was dialed i could not get scope bore sighted.

I then noticed that the front bell of the scope was not sitting dead centre of the Pic Rail??

After removing and refitting spacers (all in the same configuration) it finaly sat centered on rifle and i was able to bore sight & first shots hit centrally on target.

I really did not like the variation that these rings gave, wether that was user error or poor design? i dont know. but to much possiblity of error for my liking. I am just glad i hadnt purchased these mounts, would have been disappointed

I have standard burris uni-mount and its great, no issues,

I know these are not in the same price range, But Spuhr and just fantastic.

  5. That sounds Great.

Please keep us updated, regarding after recovery period.

i had been (wrongly )told that, you will have to choose between focal lenghts.

I.e good short / bad long  or bad short / good long.

from what youre saying it sounds like you got good short / good mid & good long. if thats the case then, massive benifits.

have a speedy recovery, all the best.....

Just had to replace my gosystem fine flame brass torch after a couple of scary flare ups and it not shutting off!  Has anyone else experienced this at all?  Also, I can't seem to buy the blue map gas cylinders on amazon any more which I usually use, just the yellow Mapp gas plus...not sure of the difference...are these ok for the annealer use?  Not sure of the flame temp, but with the blue bottles, it worked out at just over 4 seconds for my creedmoor brass

    Blue Bottles are Propane.

Yellow bottles are a mix with added Acetalyne (If i recall correctly)  MUCH HOTTER FLAME
