They won't appear to if nobody complains, they won't necessarily think anyone was outraged!

Respect is a personal thing, it can't be forced out of someone. if somebody forgets, shoots through, didn't know, or chose not to then that's for them to reconcile.

Whatever you thought of Prince Philip, remembrance is pretty well known. There was firing through that silence too.

Are you sure the NRA was organised enough to put up notices about the cease fire in the clays bit? You don't register at the same office for the clays as you do for the rifle shooting.

    ATB,

    Scrummy

Scrumbag that's a good point. I don't have anything to do with the shotgun side for obvious reasons. All the same you would think that the NRA would put notices up there too.

  3. I have only just seen this, and can only comment on Bisley.

The electronics at Bisley are notoriously unreliable. I've only been back since Tuesday and since then have heard of five breakdowns on the electronics over the radio. When you have a control radio it's an eye opener as to how the electronic targets perform camp wide. I put it down to poor maintenance by Bisley.

As for human markers, there are a few good NRA markers, but they are the minority, ask the F Class guys who were at the Imperial. At least with private markers you are more likely to get what you pay for.

You know where l am  :)

No one has mentioned the NRA's duty of care for their staff  and visitors.  It's necessary to weigh in the balance the business case for opening and the risk to staff and others.

Some people being disappointed at not being able to shoot verses potential for serious health issues for one or more.

    It's a difficult situation.

Take it from me there's not a lot of evidence that Bisley cares. From the dead earwigs in the hand gel (for weeks) to the social distancing notices in the bins in the butts, you would think the pandemic was over! I went to speak to a member of staff. I was the only one wearing a mask.

It's more like what Roy W said, it's a business decision due to lack of cutomers.

  5. I was surprised Bisley closed (as it was clear from gov.org.uk they could remain open). Now they are opening as they did after the first lockdown, on electronic targets only.

That's me off work for the foreseeable then!

Bisley put in an awful lot of Covid measures when they reopened after the first lockdown. I don't see why they are coming to nothing now. As for their customers travelling, thats not for  the NRA to police.

From a business perspective, it's probably that the business won't be there. It certainly won't be if they restrict shooters to hourly bookings on electronic targets.

Merry Christmas everybody, 2021 isn't starting off too well.

Any news on this Ronin? We are now down to two dogs, after losing the older lurcher last week :(
