  1. How important is neck tension? And how important to it is annealing?

My budget rotary gas fired annealer really isn't especially precise and from time to time the cases stop turning and so aren't accurately annealed.

There seems to be lots of opinions on YouTube, but as my interest in extra long range increases so I realise that i really need to make my ammo as good as it can be.

As far as I can see the only annealer that is super accurate is the AMP, but this is eye wateringly expensive.

Can't shoot .338lap mag at Bunkies I distinctly remember. Better off with .300NM with 200 to 220grain bullets..will hit a mile with little trouble. Also .300NM you can use at bisley with HME card .338lap mag you can't

No problem with .338 Lapua a Bunky’s. Bisley though does not allow any form of .338 . Going down Bunky’s to shoot at 1200yards, so my current set up will be fine 😃 Though I’ll need to borrow a mod, as one’s needs one there now 🙄 Kev got grief about noise so mods are required. I’ve added one to my variation as well as a .338 and the new barrel🤔

  3. I found this really good for large rifle primers but a bit hit or miss with small rifle. They've been selling them for years so it's most likely me. I also was told by the vendor that you have to tap the magazine every now and then or it stops feeding them.

There are two set of small and large inserty things. One I wasn't sure about so I bought another pair. I've moved onto an eyewateringly expensive RCBS version.

I am including three special shell holders for it. They covered .308/6.5 Creedmoor, .223Rem and .300 Win Mag. The shell holders cover far more calibres than these, but that's what I used them for.

  4. I bought this second hand and found it pretty accurate, but not as accurate as a RCBS Chargemaster 🤣 It was great for my lever action, but now I have become obsessed with tiny groups at very long distances it no longer fits the bill.

I modified a Lee powder through die so that it sits on it and can be used on a turret press. It has a coarse and fine adjusted for load.

I am unsure of the make, but from the colour I might guess Lyman?

  5. I've had this press quite a while and before I started using a single station press and used it for all my calibres which is why I have four turrets with it. It is easy and quick to use, but I have become addicted to ultra precision so only high end dies will satisfy my urge tfor the ultimate accuracy. To be honest I was shooting pretty well when using Lee stuff and I suspect my new desire for the Nirvana of reloading is probably an expensive mugs game 🤣

  6. Cast Iron solid Single Station Lee Precision press with breech lock system, which makes changing dies much quicker and easier.

It is a decent solid press. They are currently £214 at 1976 Spud who are not known for being expensive. I've not had it that long. Has large and small primer inserters and little plastic think to use of one isn't using it to insert primers, as I chose not to.

  7. I have become obsessed with the idea of shooting a mile. I have a place to  shoot it sorted - Bunkys in Cornwall.

What I don’t have is a gun capable of keeping a projectile supersonic much more than 1400 yards - .300WM Sabatti MRR with fat barrel, but only 26” long.

    Options:

    a) Upgrade current rifle? Would longer barrel be enough?

    b) build new action/Barrel  into current stock (lovely FormRifle stock)

    c) new custom built .300WM - probably can’t afford and would need variation

    d) .338Lapua lovely but need variation, all new dies ….. very expensive - Sabatti don’t make .338 so really expensive for accuracy
