I still haven't shot this rifle, no one has except proof house. Built by Mr Neil Mckillop. I purchased this rifle with a view to Fclass Open competitions but unable to find the time with my other shooting interests, FTR, PRL and, sometimes CSR, I offer this rifle for sale. It is brand new and unshot apart from proof house. The spec is 32" Bartlein Barrel. McMillan Kestros stock with custom paint, almost identical to Subaru metallic blue. Jewell Trigger BigHorn Long action, Single shot 200 Norma 284W unfired and professionally necked turned cases and Forster Neckturning Pilot included Asking price £4400 Often at Bisley if inspection required, Scope not included Final price reduction £3950.

Low round count, less than 200, Benchmark Barrel in 6.5x47. Chambered, fluted and assembled by Pete Walker. Barrel length 24.75" Straight Fluted, Straight heavy taper 1.25 to 0.9 at Muzzle Threaded 5/8 x24 with invisible thread cap I bought this as a complete rifle on a Defiance Deviant action. I do not have a 6.5x47 slot and was going to have the barrel rechambered to 6.5 Creedmoor. With things have taken a turn, I'd like to sell this barrel for £ 425 including RFD to RFD. Just had a quick look at the data for you and although your round is good at 1000, I don’t think it’s going to work at a mile. I think a more suited bullet would be a Hornady 147 ELDM at around 2800 ft/sec and this is still pushing it and i’m not sure how they handle transonic. I’ve had good results at 1400 yards with the 147 at 2650 ft/sec but never tried the mile. You will need a good spotter at that range or a target with an indicator. Good luck with the project.

Can’t say i’ve come across anyone else on the circuit using them and there I suppose speaks volumes. I don’t have any experience with the 224 Valkyrie but I have heard it can be a fussy round. I don’t know how tight the tuners lock up with the grub screws but may give it a whirl and report back.

Hi. Anybody have any experience of barrel tuners? Going down the road of a 224 Valkyrie for it's low recoil and supposed accuracy for next seasons PRL matches. I know some Fclass bods use barrel tuners on rifles handled with kid gloves but do you think the products out there would be suitable for the PRL environment? Thanks

Hi guys, only just seen the replies to this thread, had some interest immediately and all 500 went in one go. I bought 200 back from a match I shot in the USA a couple of months ago. Normally get my supply from the Cambridge Shooting Club, the guy that runs it has a good supply of ammo in a well stocked shop. I tend to shoot factory on the PRL comps so another few hundred cases available next year. Thanks for your interest.

As new and unmarked Tac rings, not sure if they are low or medium, 24mm from rail to centre of ring, anyway they are too low for my 56mm scope with a flip lens cover hence the reason for selling, would fit a 50mm objective ok. sorry but don't have the factory box £100.00 inc pp

Having completed in a few PRL comps I find myself with a surplus of once fired brass. 500 cases available at £37.50 per 100, posted.

Rifle still for sale and unshot, brass has now been professionally neck turned. I was asking £4400, that’s what I paid for the rifle only, as I have said, it’s only had proof shots, so maybe 2 rounds. Obviously I need the money more than the rifle so open to sensible offers. Thanks
