There is a video doing the rounds of a chap being gored by a Cape buffalo. Watch the guide who is left handed quickly trying to cycle a right handed bolt!
I’ve been tempted but I will not change back.
-
I changed to all left hand about 3 years ago. It takes a lot to retrain your brain to not imagine cycling a bolt with the right hand.

My 6.5x47 might be coming up for sale. Watch this space.

Cheers for the replies. I was hoping to use my existing KRG chassis which has been adapted for my left hand rifle.
-
Cheers. So even 7mm-08 is a no go?
-
Not sure if long action AICS mags in LA will fit in the KRG Bravo.
-
Cheers. It’s a T3.

I have a Tikka .243 in a KRG Bravo chassis using metal AICS mags.
If I were to get it rebarrelled what 7mm Cals would work and feed ok?
cheers.

Get a KRG Bravo chassis and get Dave to cut out a left handed bolt slot in it. I have a Tikka T3 sat in one and I love it.

How difficult was it to make the PID? I'm using the Lyman pot and it really does take some heating up. The onboard stat seriously needs a bypass.

Ta, just kept seeing 6mm BR rem dies for sale.

Hi,
looking at getting my .243 rebarelled to 6MM BR. Ever on the lookout for kit I notice that I can get 6MM BR Rem and 6MM BR Norma dies. Confusing, anyone explain which I should , go for, need, difference?

Definitely had an effect on lowering my ES to say it does nothing.

I’ve been looking at storing the whole unit in an airtight container.

It’s about 105mm. My discs are 100mm they fit inside with a bit to spare.

I had my disk laser cut which for a one off was quite expensive. I was offered a deal on 10 and did post on another forum to see if anyone wanted to split the deal but got no takers. I think if I did it again I would have the thermocouple hole slightly smaller and I think I would have quite a few drain holes cut in the lower disk say 4mm.
-
I’ve also been watching the PID vids on YouTube. A project for next month.

This is my rig which I had laser cut. It's specifically made for the Lyman melting pot. The top disk is 3mm stainless to provide weight as it sits on the pot. and the lower two are 1.5mm stainless and is held together with a stainless bolt, nuts and washers.
I think I might buy a shorter thermocouple or I might have a hole cut in the lower disk for the thermocouple to protrude through. but otherwise I am happy.
-
I’ve had my disks laser cut. My thermocouple is 4.4mm thick. I’ve had a 5.5mm hole out in disks 1&2 for it to stand upright in.
-
I’ve gone for a triple stack with an over sized top disk. The top and second disks align the case and the third disk provides a platform for the case to sit on at the required depth.
