  1. I've had one for three years I think , I've got two Drones as well

Build quality is far superior on the Digi but there's a slight wight penalty

The claim that it can be taken off and refitted without losing zero using a torch driver  is abustley true amazing! I did up grade too the black sun which also works well with the Drones.

I use it on my 243 with no problem but I keep it for long range Foxing using the range finder

    i hope this helps

  2. Qualified??

speak to any one in the GB team and its Eric and Fclass John we watch and learn from

put Speedy into that mix I'm hoping to take delivery of a speedy built rifle in 300wsm for Fclass open some time in the new year and I won't be running the barel in

barel run in cant hurt but seems like a waste of my time and I've only got to go to my own two hundred yard range to do it takes me 5minutes to cross the road and set up!But I don't shoot factory Ammo in Fclass rifles so it's the time and use of components that I'm saving.

i won't shoot a rifle in a league shoot until it's got 200 plus through it some guys put a limit of 300 plus

  3. I've got the Amp eannealing mk2 after talking to other more experienced Fclass open shooters than me but I won't be buying the press as experience has shown me that correct neck tension is the way to that flat water line at a 1000yards.

one very well respected competitor I know uses zero neck tension this does not contradict my comment about neck tension I'm not going to go into why that is as it's his method and it works for him.

so given the above that's why I've got a Zero press arriving next week ordered from Spud this after seeing one in action they are the nuts I reckon and that's were I'll spend my money

  4. I'm trying my A&D scales with the lid on but one side removed I find the same problem mate I'm throwing the load onto my charge master pan and then using a hand trickler to my desired load

problem is the scales don't re zero so do I need to calibrate using a calibrate wait? If so what wait should be used ?

Ive been using the Charge master 1500 but only as a scales under through the load and trickle up

every one seems to be using the A&D in Fopen

  5. Just got in tonight three foxes down using the nightvision store invisible lazer on my Armasite Drone I've also used it on my Ward Digi scope

wow I'm impressed it blows everything other elomanter away in every way and it's invisible!

sounds like an advert when I read this back but I believe in sharing when I find something that really works already had one known problem fox down using this lazer that our keeper and I was struggling to get on using a normal AI the only problem I can see is why would I now use my thermal scope?

  6. The Satterlee method works for me I've gone back over existing loads that I developed the long way round by checking the Satterlee method against them in 243win 308 stalking rifle 308 FTR rifle. The point being I arrived at the same load.

my 300wsm open rifle came new with a lot of expensive load development already done for it as there were four rifles made all exactly the same spec for four Fclas open  shooters. Two rifles shot very well but two of us had pressure problems I had all ready tested my rifle at home using the Satterlee method so I went to the next node down the pressure scale and found a very accurate load I tested this load at home  the ES was superb and loeded  300 rounds I shot that load at Bisley in the 900y comp  Tuesday afternoon the week of the Europeans very very successfully.i used the load all week and was very pleased with my results.

This thread is about  barrel tuners something I will be playing with on the two new rifles I've got coming as soon I'm able to pick them up. My point is does one develope a load and then tune it with the tuner or is it that the tuner becomes a factor to be moved with every  change and step of the load development? I hope that makes sense? I would gues it's a case of set the tuner in the middle  develop a load and then tune it using the tuner? As Mick has built two identical rifles for himself there will be a lot of load  development already there and I will be following his lead however I still find it an interesting question.

Triffid +1...........I don't have a bubble, and the argument that one shouldn't take any risks because they may have to rely on someone else if things go tits-up is frankly, risible............

Are you really suggesting that people shouldn't climb, dive, fly, bunjee jump, paraglide, ride horses, or even ride a bicycle, in case the unexpected happens and someone else has to take responsibility??

    Get real.......

    Pete

Plus one for the above from Pete

Not going out because some thing unexpected might happen is  quite simply ridiculous if we all live our lives like that  life wouldn't become worth living. My 85 years old father sum it up when I asked him if he was positive he wanted to still go Phesant shooting this season. If I can't go what's there to live for and if I die during a drive keep shooting. There's a man that lives to shoot and was  absolutely in earnest and means it !

  8. It was so bad at the Three days of competition that with a decent spotting Scope with the targets  at half mast you could easily see that they were patched and left on from the day before so got wet and soggy over night! No wonder the complaints were coming thick and fast.

The NRA need to invest in maintaining the frames or better still replace them with new ones pay and train markers so markers are rewarded a bonus system would be easy to work out.

  9. I've had the experience of according to the target at 1000 I wasn't even on target this using my FTR rig with a proven load I then asked if I could shoot into the sand I then proved my point that I was spot on to the RCO whoe I've shot with many times so I was aloud to switch to the next target lane only to record the best score ever on the Fclass target I don't believe the score! Pete statement sums it up completely.

Thats  it for me it's paper only with a proper compertant marker and yes I know how bad some markers can be I had a terrible time at this years three day comp shooting my usual 300wsm open gun. As one one known member let it be known the worst marking he's ever had in twenty years.

The NRA need to sort the target situation out that's both paper and electronic they know it's going on but put thier heads in the sand. The A team of markers we have at past Europeans have bean fantastic and of a standard that enables a shooter to make accurate adjustments.

No marker No feed back No score!!

  10. In my f class open rifle RS62 works well I tried RS70 but it's a duel  base powder using nitro can be unstable in high temperature.Im shooting 215 high breds and it works and I'm not the only one finding it's the best.

Good luck in your load  development.

And niel welcome to the wsm dark side ring me any time bud for a chat if you go that way.

  11. I have  multiple makes of scope allhigh end and I still really reckon the Sytron they are excellent value for money.

I used mine in the early days at Bisley at 1000yards no problems  and excellent after sales service.
