I'll be honest guys I don't trust I wouldn't mess it up and as I want it threaded it be best finding a suggested company
Does the muzzle extend past the magazine? Lots of the ones I've seen are level which would make fitting a mod difficlut

Kids grow quite quick, just buy a cheap replacement stock and cut a few inches off

humane dispatch.177 or .22
It won't make any difference, pellet through the brain is a pellet through the brain

I was offered a .177 cp1-m but not sure if .177 is suitable?
At point blank range it won't matter

One of the few pistols that comes close to the legal 6fpe limit is the Crosman 2240. It also has the advantage of being one of the cheapest. It comes in .22 only.
Runs on CO2, so performance can be affected by temperature, although for your needs that shouldn't be an issue, but I'd treat the power claims with a pinch of salt. The BSA scorpion is a heavy lump to carry round, tempests, hurricanes and typhoons are getting quite pricey due to collectors status

Not the same bolt face though, depending on the original bolt tolerances the new cartridge might be loose

Range use mainly although I occasionally stalk the local Roe & Fallow; albeit without a rifle!
For range use but a bit noisy the older type PVC army waterproof trousers are really good, if you want quieter paramo is excellent but if you do a lot of kneeling where pressure of a knee is in the wet it may let in
-
What type of use? Do they need to be quiet for stalking or just waterproof for range use?

There was a video on youtube which I can't find now, of a competition in the US, the stage was for shooting from a roof and the guy looked like a bad boyscout sketch with all the kit hanging off him plus his tripod, took a few minutes for him to set up for his shot

I think I saw what I'm after on here, but a search has turned up nothing so far. Someone converted a garden trolley that when needed converted into a shooting bench, any ideas where I might find the post please, possibly on a different forum even.
Thanks

Just to add another to the mix, the .17fireball is a good little round

I own Remington, BRNO, Parker Hale and Tikka bolt actions, my opinion the rem is the least refined of them all, but I've never had an issue with it. Compared to friends remingtons mine seem to have a very good trigger which as far as I can tell is factory

Can't see why any outdoor range had to close, firing points are designed for social distancing or can easily accommodate it, as long as people follow the rules during the safety brief and while not at the firing point it should have been allowed to continue

Depending on calibre you might be able to have an adaptor made to avoid altering the magazine
