I'm looking into picking up a 'drag matt' its a combination of a drag matt and a shooting matt. (Its in the royal mail, haven't trialled it)
Walk onto the firing point with the bag, unzip it, unfold the mat and anything I need is ready to hand in the internal pockets along with the rifle.
When your finish pack everything up and walk to you car/ next event
Any other non essential bits stay in the car in a plastic toolbox until I need them. (But I typically have the car at the back of the firing point)
Where did you buy this from please? I have a ridgeline rifle bag that opens to a range mat, although virtually no storage

I've always had better accuracy and results with the 20gn rounds
-
Have tried gordons reloading tool? I've found it quite useful for load development
-
I have a friend with a fireball, he chose RS40 with the 25gn vmax, certainly works well on foxes

Thanks a lot guys.i will look into it. David i dont know what brand the 17 grain bullets are. They have a purple tip on them.I shall try them at some point but again no load data.cheers
They sound like the ones from kranks (misnamed as ramsbottoms in my previous post) I tried them with 18gn of ramshot TAC in my 17rem, apparently they were the bullets eley used for hmr2, I found them inconsistent, the heavier 25gn vmax performed much better.

David is pretty much spot on with that load, if the 17gn bullets are the ramsbottom ones, I found them a bit erratic, but worth a try, I have a 17rem and settled on 25gn vmax, certainly gave the best accuracy for me. There are some 25gn bergers for sale on sd at the moment

I just changed from a traditional shaped stock to a pistol grip stock, handling has vastly improved, however (possibly just me) I know have to relearn loading drills, with the standard stock I found weak hand loading easier, now with the pistol grip, strong hand feels better

Can I have the bench primer please

Do you not find that powder a little too fast? Can I ask how it performs please?

I tried it but couldn't get on with it, switched to RS60 which works well for me

Didn't the CIA arm and train the mujahideen, noraid the IRA, plus many many others. Stable doors and horses bolting spring to mind

Someones after an aftermarket 700la stock on the stalking directory

I've bought three rifles, one shotgun, an air rifle and a few spare parts, admittedly the guns were from dealers but the parts were from private sellers, to date, all has gone well

I'd ask the land owner what they require for you to shoot there

Getting Strelok Pro?

Assuming iphone? Have you had it before on a previous phone, if so, download imazing onto your pc, then you can transfer old files using your apple log in, if like me you've changed phone and ID, you still need imazing, but need someone to email you a strelok file, then with a bit of mucking about you can get it on your phone
